Background of Skyward FBISD

Skyward FBISD is a public school district located in east central Fort Bend County, Texas, United States. The district has one school campus – Skyward FBISD – which serves students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The campus is located northeast of Houston and southeast of Richmond.

Skyward FBISD was founded in 1971 as a continuation of the original Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD). FBISD had served the communities of Meyerland, Kuykendahl, Richmond Forest, and Nassau Bay for nearly 50 years. In 1971, these communities decided to merge to form a single district that would be able to provide better educational opportunities for their children.

In addition to its primary focus on education, Skyward FBISD strives to empower its students by providing them access to opportunities such as aviation. The school offers traditional classroom instruction and flight training, giving students the experience and confidence they need to pursue further education or careers in aviation.
