The craze that Instagram had since its early years in the social media world continues to grow even though Facebook has been the big guy in campus way before Instagram made its debut. With billions of users in both the respective platforms, it is clear that they are doing a great job for every other brand’s social media engagement and even helping the small businesses grow. Facebook:

  • Facebook has larger vanity numbers as compared to Instagram.
  • It is largely informational and detail driven.
  • 83% of marketers prefer to use Facebook for social strategy of their brands.
  • 65% small businesses have their Facebook pages.
  • There is a majority of 96% active users who access the platform via mobile.

The age-group, type of audience, targeted product or brand, etc. are some of the key factors in deciding which platform should one choose for branding and marketing of their brands.  As conclusion, neither of the platforms can be used to replace one another as each has its own advantages and difference in reach to their users.
